PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. (Indocement) Tarjun Factory held a coastal clean-up at the Indocement Jetty on Friday, October 23, 2026. Organized as part of World Clean Up Day 2026, the activity demonstrated Indocement Tarjun’s commitment to cleaner coastlines and environmental sustainability.
Collecting Inorganic Waste Along the Coast
The activity focused on collecting inorganic waste along the coastal area, including plastic bottles and other non-biodegradable materials. This coastal clean-up was a practical step toward keeping the Indocement Jetty clean while reducing the risk of pollution in nearby waters.
Improperly discarded waste not only diminishes the natural beauty of coastal areas but can also pollute surrounding waters and disrupt coastal ecosystems. Responsible waste management is therefore essential to protecting the environment and supporting long-term ecosystem sustainability.
Encouraging Employees to Take Environmental Action
Through this initiative, Indocement Tarjun encouraged employees to recognize their role in protecting the environment. Simple actions, such as reducing single-use plastics, sorting waste, and disposing of waste properly, can help minimize its environmental impact.
Inspired by World Clean Up Day 2026, Indocement Tarjun continues to strengthen environmental awareness and encourages all stakeholders to take an active role in creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable coastal areas.
