Indocement Tarjun Factory has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting industrial vocational education by signing the second phase of its Industrial Vocational Program agreement with four vocational high schools (SMKs) located in Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu Regencies: SMK Negeri 1 Kotabaru, SMK Negeri 2 Kotabaru, SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Empat, and SMKS Kodeco Simpang Empat. The signing ceremony took place on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Guest House of the Tarjun Factory.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will be valid for five years, was signed by Plant 12 Manager Teguh Iman Basoeki, along with the principals of the four vocational schools.
The event was attended by HCGAS Department Head Yanuar Arif, Indocement Plant 12 Tarjun Management, IMI Tarjun Chairman Arya Maulana Syaifuddin, Tarjun Labor Union Chairperson Hatijah (represented by Head of Industrial Relations & K4LM, Hasriadi Mukmin), Vocational School Supervisor of South Kalimantan Province Drs. Agus Haris Purwito, M.M., and other invited guests.
The pillars of the industrial vocational collaboration include:

- Voluntary teaching
- Teaching factory
- Industrial visits
- Teacher apprenticeship
This collaboration aims to support the government’s initiative to strengthen the link and match between vocational education and industry needs. It also seeks to enhance the quality of students from Indocement’s partner vocational schools, particularly those located around the Tarjun Factory.
It is a shared hope that this initiative will bring meaningful benefits and contribute positively to the development of competent human resources who are skilled, competitive, and well-prepared to meet the demands of the workforce.
