CERDAS Program Helps Indocement Retain TOP CSR Awards #Stars 5

Indocement once again received the highest recognition at the TOP CSR Awards 2026, held at 25 May 2026 in Jakarta. At the event, Indocement earned TOP CSR Awards 2026 #Stars 5 and the TOP Platinum Trophy, while Indocement President Director Christian Kartawijaya received the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2026 award for his commitment and leadership in promoting the implementation of corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles that are integrated with the company’s business strategy.

This achievement is particularly meaningful as Indocement has successfully maintained the highest TOP CSR Awards recognition for five consecutive years. This consistency reflects the company’s commitment to managing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs that not only create benefits for communities and the environment, but also support business sustainability and long-term growth.

TOP CSR Awards is one of Indonesia’s major CSR learning and recognition programs. Its assessment is based on the implementation of ISO 26000, ESG principles, corporate governance, program innovation, and the alignment of CSR initiatives with business strategy. The TOP CSR Awards #Stars 5 recognition is the highest level awarded to companies with excellent CSR systems, policies, and implementation that are considered capable of creating long-term value for stakeholders.

During the TOP CSR Awards 2026 judging process, Indocement presented CERDAS, or Cipta Energi dari Sampah, as its flagship program. CERDAS is a circular economy initiative that converts waste into refuse derived fuel (RDF), an alternative fuel used in the cement production process.

The program is implemented through collaboration among communities, local governments, employees, cooperatives, village-owned enterprises, waste banks, and business partners. Through this collaborative approach, CERDAS builds a sustainable waste management ecosystem while supporting the company’s energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

CERDAS delivers balanced benefits across environmental, economic, social, and community welfare aspects. From an environmental perspective, the program helps reduce emissions and promotes the use of waste as an alternative energy source. From an economic perspective, it creates added value and business opportunities for local institutions and communities. From a social and welfare perspective, CERDAS opens employment opportunities, strengthens public participation, and encourages shared responsibility in sustainable environmental management.

Indocement’s achievement at the TOP CSR Awards 2026 further reinforces that CSR is not merely a corporate social activity, but an important part of a business strategy that can create sustainable economic, social, and environmental value. Through CERDAS, Indocement demonstrates that waste management can become a shared solution to support the circular economy, energy transition, carbon emission reduction, and sustainable development.

This recognition is the result of the hard work of all Indocement employees and the continued support of stakeholders who collaborate to advance sustainability. In addition to benefiting communities and the environment, CERDAS also supports the resilience of alternative fuel supply, reduces dependency on fossil fuels, improves resource efficiency, and strengthens ESG implementation as part of the company’s business strategy
