Indocement once again hosted a significant visit from Rajan Velappan, Asia Director of Health & Safety at Heidelberg Materials Group, in October 2025. This visit marked a strategic moment to reinforce the company’s commitment to workplace safety culture.
The agenda began on October 27, 2025, at the Quarry Mining area of Citeureup Factory Complex. Rajan Velappan was welcomed by Mining Division Manager, Ir. Prawiratno D. The site observation focused on LOTOTO implementation, pre-start checks for heavy equipment, HD/DT unit inspections, tire inflation areas, and workshop demarcation—all critical elements to ensure consistent safety standards.
The next stop was the Technical Service Division, where the team was greeted by Technical Service Division Manager, Ir. I Gusti Ngurah Karmayasa. This session emphasized lifting safety, including wire rope hoist inspections and other supporting devices.
On the second day, October 28, 2025, the visit continued with the Indocement Safety Committee Meeting (I-SC #45) and the Safety Leadership Forum held at the Guest House of Citeureup Factory Complex. During the forum, Rajan Velappan served as a keynote speaker, highlighting the importance of leadership in fostering a sustainable safety culture.
The final day took place at Lampung Terminal, where Rajan reviewed housekeeping practices, machine safeguarding, lifting equipment, and safety measures at the port area.
This visit was more than a routine check—it was a strong push toward achieving the Zero Harm target.
