Indocement reinforced its commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) by successfully hosting the Indocement Safety Forum 2026. The annual event took place from 20 to 22 January 2026 at the Cirebon Factory Complex, bringing together safety representatives from all Indocement operations and business units across Indonesia.
Participants included safety teams from the Citeureup, Cirebon, and Tarjun factory complexes, as well as representatives from Safety Logistics, Safety DND, Semen Grobogan, Semen Bosowa Maros, Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC), and Aggregate divisions. This broad participation underscores Indocement’s commitment to aligning safety principles and strengthening collaboration across the organization.
Aligning Safety Standards with Heidelberg Materials
A key focus of the forum was the comprehensive review and synchronization of updated Safety Standards to ensure alignment with the global requirements of Heidelberg Materials. Each safety unit presented real-world implementation challenges and shared insights from their respective operational environments. These discussions provided a collaborative platform for identifying improvements and harmonizing safety practices across all sites.
The forum culminated in the presentation of the Safety Group Action 2026, a strategic roadmap designed to accelerate Indocement’s shift from compliance-based safety toward a deeply embedded habitual safety culture. Core elements of the 2026 action plan include enhancements to the LOTOTO system and LDS technology, the installation of blind spot mirrors for logistics vehicles, strengthened defensive driving training programs, expanded near hit reporting through HM QR Codes, and the deployment of AI powered monitoring systems for health, safety, and driver behavior.
Indocement emphasizes that safety is not merely a statistic but a shared responsibility to ensure that every employee returns home safely each day.
Driving Zero Harm Through Continuous Improvement
The forum reaffirmed Indocement’s position as an industry leader in promoting proactive Safety and Health initiatives. Strengthening the safety culture is essential to ensuring sustainable operations and responsible for long-term business growth.
The 2026 Safety Forum concluded with a Mining Safety Seminar, featuring keynote speakers from leading mining companies. Participants showed strong enthusiasm, and the insights shared during the session are expected to inspire stronger safety practices across Indocement’s operational areas.
With ongoing collaboration and continuous improvement, Indocement remains committed to achieving its Zero Harm objective and creating a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace environment.
