Indocement reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the company’s supply chain resilience with the inauguration of its new fleet, TB Oceanic 207 – BG Azamara 3072 on January 30, 2026. The tug and barge unit, with a capacity of 9,500 tons and a draft of 5.11 meters, has been introduced as part of a strategic effort to enhance efficiency and reliability in the distribution of essential materials for the company’s operations.
Indocement’s President Director, Christian Kartawijaya, emphasized that the addition of this new fleet marks a significant step forward in supporting the company’s operational effectiveness. Built in 2025 through the collaboration of two shipyards, TB Oceanic 207 was completed at PT Karya Teknik Internusa Abadi in East Kalimantan, while BG Azamara 3072 was completed at PT Panbatam Island Shipyard in Batam. Both vessels were constructed with meticulous attention to detail to meet the increasingly complex standards of maritime logistics.
With its robust specifications, TB Oceanic 207 – BG Azamara 3072 is projected to support the distribution of key materials such as coal, trass, laterite, and limestone. Its presence provides substantial reinforcement to Indocement’s logistics system by improving voyage efficiency, supply reliability, and material distribution planning from various sources in Sumatra and Kalimantan to Indocement’s production facilities across different regions.
The inauguration of this fleet marks an important milestone that highlights how collaboration, thorough planning, and a strong commitment to sustainability continue to propel Indocement forward in strengthening its supply chain foundation while ensuring long-term operational continuity.
