Indocement has once again received national recognition by winning both Gold and Silver Awards at the Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainable Village Development (CSR & PDB) Awards 2025. The award ceremony took place on September 30, 2025, in Jakarta, organized by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) in collaboration with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF). The event was attended by Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan and Minister of Villages PDTT Yandri Susanto.
The awards were granted in recognition of two flagship programs: Jangkrik BOS and Palimanan Merdeka dan Lestari.
Jangkrik BOS (Crickets Can Make People Successful)-Gold Award
This program is a village empowerment innovation that enhances community income while promoting environmental conservation. Beyond its economic impact, the program contributes to ecological sustainability by utilizing post-mining reclamation land and developing insect vegetation forests, which have increased biodiversity to 38 insect species. The program achieved a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 2.23, indicating that every rupiah of social investment generates more than double the benefit for the community. The award was received by Indocement Corporate Secretary, Dani Handajani.
Palimanan Merdeka dan Lestari (Waste-to-Energy Through Community Empowerment and Environmental Preservation)-Silver Award
This social innovation aligns with the company’s core business and has shown positive impacts on social, economic, and environmental aspects of the community. The program recorded an SROI of 3.44, meaning each rupiah of social investment yields more than triple the benefit. The award was accepted by Assistant GMO of Indocement Cirebon Factory, Rita Widjaja.
These awards serve as tangible proof of Indocement’s commitment to implementing sustainable and impactful corporate social responsibility. Through innovative, community-driven approaches, Indocement continues to strengthen its active role in supporting the development of independent, sustainable, and competitive villages.
