Indocement Cirebon Plant distributed scholarships to outstanding students from its partner villages, particularly those located in the Gempol and Ciwaringin sub-districts. The scholarship distribution took place from October 14 to 23, 2025.
Scholarships were awarded to students who achieved first, second, and third place rankings in their respective schools. In addition to financial support, recipients also received school supplies to aid their learning activities.
A total of 438 students received the scholarships, consisting of:
- 54 students from SMPN 1 Gempol
- 12 students from SMPN 2 Gempol
- 372 elementary school students from 15 partner villages
The scholarships were handed over directly at each school, attended by sub-district education coordinators, school principals, teachers, and representatives from the local government.
This program is an annual initiative and part of Indocement’s community empowerment efforts. Its aim is to support students’ educational needs while encouraging them to strive for academic excellence. The initiative also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4: Quality Education.
Through this program, Indocement hopes to actively contribute to the advancement of education, especially in its partner villages. It is expected that student will be more motivated to learn and grow into a high-quality generation. Education is one of the key pillars of Indocement’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
