The Indocement Cirebon Factory earned two prestigious awards at the Environmental and Social Innovation Award (ENSIA) 2024, themed “Extraordinary Turnaround Innovation for Sustainability.”
Indocement received:
- Platinum Award for environmental innovation in the Hazardous Waste Reduction and Utilization category through the PAGER SIRI program (Reuse of B109d Bag Filters as Fossil Fuel Substitution).
- Gold Award for social innovation through the PALIMANAN MERDEKA program (Waste-to-Energy Processing through Community Empowerment).
The event, held in late July 2024, was attended by Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry, Alue Dohong. This year’s ENSIA attracted 756 entries for environmental and social innovation and 60 participants for the Local Hero category.
These achievements reinforce Indocement’s commitment to advancing environmental and social innovations as part of its sustainable business strategy.
