Indocement’s Citeureup Factory has been honored by the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) at the 2025 BAPETEN Awards held on October 27, 2025. This recognition reflects Indocement’s strong commitment to ensuring the safety and security in the use of ionizing radiation sources, demonstrating excellent performance in radiation safety and radioactive source security.
Ionizing radiation refers to radiation with sufficient energy to remove electrons from atoms or molecules, thereby causing ionization. Examples include gamma rays, X-rays, and alpha or beta particles emitted by radioactive materials. These types of radiation are widely used across various industrial sectors, including material testing, product preservation, and quality control.
The award from BAPETEN highlights Indocement’s success in implementing an effective radiation protection system, which includes personnel training, radiation exposure monitoring, and the safe and responsible management of radioactive sources. This achievement underscores that safety is not merely a slogan—it is deeply embedded in Indocement’s workplace culture.
This recognition also serves as a motivation for all Indocement employees to continue fostering a work culture that prioritizes safety, discipline, and compliance with regulations. It is hoped that this award will inspire the creation of a safer, more professional, and sustainable working environment across all operational lines of the company.
