Indocement has once again achieved an outstanding milestone by winning the Platinum Champion, the highest recognition at the Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA) 2025. This prestigious award was presented as an acknowledgment of Indocement’s success in implementing its flagship program, Jangkrik BOS (Jangkrik Bisa membuat Orang Sukses).
The award ceremony took place in Jakarta on September 30, 2025, with a panel of judges comprising representatives from the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), Bisnis Indonesia, and sustainability management practitioners. The award was received directly by Dani Handajani, Corporate Secretary General Manager of Indocement.
The Jangkrik BOS program was born out of Indocement’s commitment to empowering communities around its Citeureup Plant in Bogor through community-based cricket farming. This initiative not only creates additional income sources for local residents but also involves vulnerable groups such as the elderly, persons with disabilities, and underprivileged families. Beyond its social and economic impact, the program also supports environmental conservation by utilizing post-mining reclamation land.
The success of Jangkrik BOS serves as tangible proof of Indocement’s commitment to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy, while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
