Indocement has secured first place at the ASEAN Mineral Awards (AMA) 2025 held in Vientiane, Laos, in the category of Best Practices in Mineral Distribution (Non-Metallic Minerals). This prestigious event is a form of ASEAN’s recognition for companies that contribute to a sustainable mineral supply chain across Southeast Asia.
Indocement earned the award for its outstanding distribution practices, marked by efficiency both upstream and downstream. Upstream, efficiency is achieved using belt conveyors, which are energy-efficient, low-emission, and easier to maintain compared to trucks. Downstream, efficiency is enhanced through strategic collaboration with Bosowa Group and the acquisition of the Grobogan plant, which strengthens and streamlines distribution to central and eastern regions of Indonesia.
Through this award, Indocement also reaffirmed its regional contribution by consistently exporting clinker and specialty cement—such as white cement and oil well cement—to various ASEAN countries.
AMA 2025 was participated in by mining companies from ASEAN member states. The initial nomination process from Indonesia was coordinated by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and mining associations, prioritizing companies that had previously won similar awards at the national level.
The selection process for the 4th AMA began in early 2025. During the 2nd Board of Judges (BOJ) Meeting of the 4th AMA 2025 on August 6, 2025, BOJ members finalized the top three nominees in each category to proceed to the final selection stage. In this stage, each nominee presented directly before the BOJ.
The judging panel consisted of 10 members from 10 ASEAN countries. The Indonesian BOJ member abstained from evaluating Indonesian nominees, in accordance with cross-country judging regulations.
Indonesia achieved remarkable success, with two companies winning first place, including Indocement, which was recognized for its excellence in supply chain efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sustainable practices in non-metallic mineral distribution.
This achievement underscores Indocement’s commitment to strengthening its operational and logistics practices to meet international standards, while supporting government efforts to enhance competitiveness, cooperation, and investment promotion in the mineral and coal sectors across ASEAN.
The award also serves as evidence that Indocement is not only focused on cement production but also actively involved in responsible resource management and mineral distribution that considers environmental and social impacts. May this recognition inspire Indocement to continue innovating and contributing to the advancement of a sustainable building materials industry.
