The certificate from the American Petroleum Institute has officially been extended for another three-year period, covering 2026 to 2029. The recertification was granted following an external audit conducted by API auditors, which evaluated Indocement’s Oil Well Cement manufacturing management system in accordance with API Spec Q1 10th Edition and verified product testing processes based on API Spec 10A standards.
Oil Well Cement (OWC) is a specialized type of cement used in oil and gas drilling operations, both onshore and offshore. OWC is mixed into a cement slurry and pumped into the annular space between the casing and the wellbore. Once it hardens, the cement functions to secure the casing in place while providing essential structural integrity to the well. Indocement’s OWC products are manufactured in compliance with the American Petroleum Institute’s API Spec 10A Class G HSR standards and SNI ISO 10426-1:2017.
