Indocement’s Cirebon Factory has once again achieved national recognition by winning two Gold awards at the 2026 Environmental and Social Innovation Award (ENSIA). The awards were presented in Bali on September 10, 2026.
Organized by PT Sucofindo, ENSIA 2026 carried the theme Innovation for Sustainable Business and Resilient Community. The event recognizes companies, communities, and individuals for their innovations in environmental management, social development, and business sustainability.
Participation in ENSIA 2026 Increases Significantly
This year, ENSIA attracted 253 participating companies, with a total of 954 innovation papers and 48 local heroes. This represented a significant increase from the previous year, when 178 companies submitted 690 innovation papers.
The increase in participation demonstrates the business sector’s growing commitment to developing innovations that support environmental, social, and business sustainability.
ENSIA 2026 also introduced a new focus for its special innovation category. While the category previously focused on watershed conservation, this year’s focus shifted to the clean energy transition.
This change reflects the growing importance of energy resilience, resource efficiency, and emissions reduction in addressing climate change and global challenges.
Indocement’s Commitment to Renewable Energy
ENSIA 2026’s focus on the clean energy transition is aligned with Indocement’s commitment to increasing the use of new and renewable energy, including alternative fuels derived from various types of waste.
At ENSIA 2026, Indocement’s Cirebon Factory received two awards:
- Gold Award in the Environmental Innovation category for 3R Management of Non-Hazardous Solid Waste; and
- Gold Award in the Social Innovation category.
This achievement reaffirms the consistency of Indocement’s Cirebon Factory in implementing sustainable initiatives. These initiatives not only support effective environmental management but also engage local communities and deliver tangible benefits.
Through this recognition, Indocement is expected to continue strengthening its role in advancing innovation and supporting sustainable development.
