PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. reaffirmed its strong commitment to occupational health and safety (OHS) through the opening ceremony of the 2026 National OHS Month. The ceremony was held simultaneously on 14 January 2026 across Indocement’s three plant complexes, as well as warehouses, terminals, and subsidiaries.
The opening ceremony at the Citeureup Plant Complex was led by Indocement President Director, Christian Kartawijaya. Meanwhile, the ceremonies at the Cirebon and Tarjun Plant Complexes were led respectively by the General Manager of the Cirebon Plant Complex, Katon Primanto Kurniawan, and the General Manager of the Tarjun Plant Complex, Agus F. The 2026 National OHS Month carries the national theme “Building a Professional, Reliable, and Collaborative National OHS Management Ecosystem.” In line with this theme, Indocement adopted an internal theme: “Achieving Zero Harm by Prioritising Driving Safety and Strengthening Energy Isolation Implementation.”
In his address, Christian Kartawijaya stated that the National OHS Month serves as a strategic momentum to reinforce the Company’s commitment to building a professional, reliable, and collaborative OHS ecosystem. This momentum is expected to enhance awareness, compliance, and active participation of all Indocement employees and business partners in implementing OHS practices to create a safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable work environment.
On the same occasion, Christian also delivered a safety alert highlighting key lessons learned from several safety incidents that occurred throughout 2025 within Heidelberg Materials. These included 13 fatal incidents involving traffic accidents with mobile equipment, failures in energy isolation (LOTOTO), mining accidents, as well as incidents related to mobile equipment and maintenance activities. The safety alert serves as an important reminder for all employees to remain vigilant and consistently manage potential risks in the workplace.
Christian Kartawijaya also conveyed a message from Indocement President Commissioner and Heidelberg Materials Asia CEO, Roberto Callieri, who emphasized the importance of visible and genuine safety leadership, effective safety communication, continuous risk monitoring, strong safety culture at management level, and zero tolerance for safety violations as the foundation for achieving a Zero Harm culture.
As part of its ongoing commitment, Indocement continues to implement various Health and Safety Action 2026 initiatives, including strengthening energy isolation practices, improving driving safety, leveraging technology for safety monitoring, enhancing controls for high-risk work, and developing employee health programs to support sustainable healthy lifestyles.
Through the opening of the 2026 National OHS Month, Indocement once again underscores its commitment to making occupational health and safety an integral part of its operations. Through close collaboration with all employees and business partners, Indocement remains confident in creating a safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable workplace in line with its Zero Harm target.
