Indocement’s Citeureup Factory once again became the venue for the Environmental Supervisors Training organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). The program took place on September 19, 2024, with 40 participants from various Regional Environmental Agencies (DLH) across Indonesia, accompanied by instructors from KLHK’s Environmental Protection and Management Division (PPLH).
The event began with an opening speech by Setia Wijaya, General Manager of the Citeureup Factory. He emphasized that this knowledge-sharing initiative is a positive step toward strengthening collaboration between Indocement and KLHK, while providing participants with hands-on experience in environmental management and monitoring practices implemented by the company.
The second address was delivered by Drs. Iyan Suwargana, M.S., Young Expert in Learning Technology Development at KLHK. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn at Indocement and highlighted that the Citeureup Factory was chosen as a training site for a special reason: Indocement has demonstrated strong compliance in environmental management, earning the prestigious Green PROPER award. This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and regulatory adherence.
Following the speeches, participants attended presentations on safety induction, company profile, and key aspects of Indocement’s environmental management system. The program continued with site visits to several environmental management areas within the Citeureup Factory, allowing participants to observe best practices directly.
This knowledge-sharing activity is expected to deliver significant benefits for both the training participants and Indocement, while fostering stronger ties between the two institutions in their shared mission to protect the environment.
