Indocement’s Cirebon Factory has achieved national recognition at the Environmental and Social Innovation Award (ENSIA) 2025, organized by PT Sucofindo. ENSIA aims to appreciate business actors in Indonesia who have demonstrated innovation in environmental and social fields, and has been held since 2022.
The 2025 ENSIA Awards carried the theme “Innovation for Socio-Economic and Ecological Harmony”, with participation from 178 companies submitting a total of 746 innovations derived from 690 papers and 56 local hero nominees. The award categories are divided into four main areas: Environmental Innovation, Social Innovation, Inspirational Local Hero, and Special Innovation.
At the 2025 ENSIA Awards held on September 16, 2025 in Jakarta, Indocement’s Cirebon Plant Complex proudly received two awards in the Environmental Innovation category:
- Platinum Award for the innovation topic: Waste Management Innovation through the Enhancement of Refuse Derived Fuel Production by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) via Mechanical Electrical Engineering and Workforce Competency Development.
- Silver Award for the innovation topic: Hazardous Waste Reduction through the Reuse of Used Lubricating Oil for Open Chain Lubrication (Mas Sopan Program).
This achievement reaffirms Indocement’s commitment and consistency in implementing sustainable environmental management initiatives at the Cirebon plant, particularly in waste management and 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) of hazardous waste.
