Indocement Cirebon Plant received the Gold Award at the Indonesia Social Responsibility Award (ISRA) 2026, held at Surakarta City, Central Java, on August 6, 2026. The award recognizes the company's commitment to implementing impactful and sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
Carrying the theme Catalyzing Collective Change for Scalable Impact, ISRA 2026 served as a platform for cross-sector collaboration aimed at driving collective and sustainable change. Organized by Prospect Indonesia Konsultindo, the event was attended by approximately 90 representatives from state-owned enterprises, regional government-owned enterprises, and private companies committed to CSR implementation.
At the event, Indocement Cirebon earned the Gold Award in the Economic Empowerment Category through its program,“Indobatik Ciwaringin: Environmentally-Oriented Self-Reliance.” The initiative empowers local batik artisans in Ciwaringin, who now exclusively use natural dyes in their production processes, significantly reducing environmental pollution risks.
The program's success is supported by laboratory test results from the Center for Textile Testing, confirming that naturally dyed batik fabrics are free from heavy metals. Furthermore, testing conducted by the Environmental Quality Control Laboratory of PDAM Tirtawening demonstrated that wastewater generated from the production process does not contaminate the environment. As a result, Ciwaringin's naturally dyed batik has consistently received the Ecolabel certification from Indonesia's Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) from 2018 to 2026.
To expand market reach and product promotion, the artisans actively utilize Instagram through the account @anugerahbatik_ciwaringin as a communication and marketing platform.
The award was received on behalf of the company by Katon Primanto Kurniawan, General Manager Operational of Indocement's Cirebon Plant.
This achievement further strengthens Indocement's commitment to delivering CSR programs that create tangible benefits for communities while generating long-term social, economic, and environmental impact.
