PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. (Indocement) launches the 2024 edition of Indocement Bank Sampah Awards (IBSA) to recognize and appreciate partner village Waste Banks that consistently engage in environmental initiatives through education and waste sorting.
This award program, now in its fourth year, carries the slogan: "Memories may fade, but plastic lasts 1,000 years. Let’s manage waste wisely!" The event was held in two sessions: the judging session took place on 10 December 2024 at KRL Puring, RW 11, Puspanegara Village, Bogor Regency, followed by the awarding ceremony on 12 December 2024 at Indocement Harmony Corner, Citeureup Factory, Bogor Regency. A total of 22 active Indocement partner KRL Waste Banks, along with several newly established ones, participated in the 2024 IBSA selection and enthusiastically welcomed this initiative.
IBSA 2024 featured four guest judges:
- Nur Haryanti, S.Si. (Chair of the Waste Reduction Team, Bogor Regency Environmental Agency)
- Ir. Eran Subarna, M.M. (Intermediate Function of Environmental Impact Control, Bogor Regency Environmental Agency)
- Kirman Nurdin Alamsyah (Project Coordinator, Plastic Bank Foundation)
- Abu Rifki (Environmental Task Force, Citeureup District)
In addition to performance evaluations, a consultation session was held to provide constructive feedback to Waste Bank administrators, aimed at enhancing the quality and impact of their programs.
Nine Waste Banks advanced to the grand final, where each was challenged to present a recycled fashion show and perform musical acts with themes promoting environmental awareness. These performances were evaluated by the guest judges during the awarding ceremony on 12 December 2024.

- 1st Place: Bersinar Waste Bank, Gunung Sari Village
- 2nd Place: Zalak 2 Waste Bank, Gunung Putri Village
- 3rd Place: Amanah Waste Bank, Puspanegara Village
Gold Category
- 1st Place: Mede Waste Bank, Gunung Putri Village
- 2nd Place: Kancil Waste Bank, Puspanegara Village
- 3rd Place: BS Kiara 41, Tarikolot Village
Silver Category
- 1st Place: Eleven Waste Bank, Puspanegara Village
- 2nd Place: Maritime Waste Bank, Tarikolot Village
- 3rd Place: Ragam Lestari Waste Bank, Leuwikaret Village
Through IBSA 2024, Indocement hopes to further inspire its partner Waste Banks to actively contribute to environmental sustainability, explore creative ways to transform recycled materials into high-value products, maintain structured documentation, and encourage the establishment of new Waste Banks in partner villages.
